Katie Clark, Owner
Katie Clark is certified as an Accredited Event Designer, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. Event Details and Designs was created from Katie’s love of all aspects of architectural, interior, fashion, and most of all, wedding design! Weddings offer her the unique opportunity to combine design elements from all of these areas. Although her title now includes event coordinator, designer, and business owner, she was once known to her family and friends as a “professional bridesmaid”! Being in 12 weddings in less than 5 years allowed her to coin this term, and sparked her love of weddings. Each wedding inspired her in a different way. She loves the fact that weddings continue to uphold tradition, and all have common elements, yet are each as unique as the couple themselves. She prides herself on creating innovative design concepts, while paying attention to every last detail. Working with a couple to organize the most important day of their lives brings her great joy!
Gerald Clark, Operations Manager
Gerald is a proud member of the Event Details and Designs team. He is the muscle behind the set up and break down of the events, and the on-site electrician. He works as a certified journeyman electrician, but uses his weekend time to help Katie and the rest of the crew. He is a supportive husband, and has been committed to making Katie’s dream of owning a business come true. While he is not responsible for helping with the design of an event, he is very active behind the scenes. He offers logistical support, and manages the overall operation before and after an event. Without the help of Gerald and the crew, it would not be possible to create our extraordinary events!
